The girls beat Tyrone in Emyvale on Monday bank holiday! They now progress to the final against Antrim. Playing against a very physical Tyrone side the girls took a while to settle. Once they got going, they played some really great football and wore down the opposition, winning 4.11 to 3.09. Well done girls! U15 – BORN 2004 ONLY

The girls gave up their bank holiday and got together on Monday afternoon for a great session with former Down captain and current Kilcoo senior player Conor Laverty, ahead of their Ulster final on Saturday against Antrim. Conor, GAA coaching officer with Trinity College Dublin, put the the girls through their paces and passed on words of wisdom ahead of their big game on Saturday. The girls put in a great shift and are looking forward to the final. Many thanks to parents for escorting the girls to training on their day off, to Clonduff GAC for the use of their excellent facilities and to Conor for also giving up his free time to help prepare the squad. Best of luck to any girls on the squad undertaking GCSE’s in the coming weeks, from all the mentors.
