The Sligo girls U14 development squad had an early encounter with Roscommon yesterday in a match that proved to be a great start to the year for both sides. After only a handful of training sessions the Sligo girls showed quality, passion and interest that will carry them far as they continue to develop. The faceoff between the county squads in the biting cold was an early test, one that both sides took a lot away from even if there was only one winner at the end. Though the game was a victory for Roscommon, 34 girls got to play yesterday and had an enjoyable learning experience. The squad showed great potential and left Sligo LGFA with a lot to feel positive about for the upcoming season.

The Sligo U14 country team are to play Tyrone in a challenge match today in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, Support is much welcomed.
