There are nine clubs taking part in the Senior Championship.
Group A has five team’s including last year’s finalists Stabannonn and St. Brides.
Champions Stabannon who are aiming for their 8th title in nine year’s will be strongly fancied to top this group and have an opening day bye.
The key game may well be in the last round when Brides host the Geraldines where home advantage could be the deciding factor
The Knockbridge side will be fancied to get the better of neighbours St.Mochtas while Geraldines can see off Roche/Na pairsaigh in the Group’s opening matches

Group B looks much more open with ten times winners Cooley meeting 2014 holder’s Newtown Blues in their first outing.
In the other first round tie St. Kevin’s will be aiming to repeat their Division 2 league final victory over last season’s Intermediate Champions Kilkerley/Dowdallshill

In the intermediate grade St.Fechins look the team to beat. They will be
determined to put the heartache of a one point loss to Brides in the 2016 final and defeat to Kilkerley/Dowdallshill in last year’s decider behind them. They can get off to a winning start over Nh. Fionnbarra while the winner of the other first round game between Glyde and Mattock may determine who takes the runner-up spot

There are just two teams taking part in the junior championship where newcomers Hunterstown Rovers meet the O’Raghallaigh’s/Oliver Plunketts combination in the final
