The dust is settling on Tipperary LGFA’s All Ireland celebrations and on Sunday morning October 6th over 150 people gathered to walk to the Rock an Tarbh Walk In Remembrance Of Rachel Kenneally.
Rachel was a member of the Tipperary Intermediate team, played club football with Aherlow Ladies Football, college football with Mary Immaculate College, Ireland where she trained to become a primary school teacher and later with Middle East GAA.
You are all well aware of her achievements with county, club and college. Rachel passed away following a battle with breast cancer in March 2018 but her legacy lives on.
The route for the walk was Rachels training route and its hoped many will visit the rock in their own time.
Rachel was described today as Tipperary’s extra player in the skies. The players strongly believe she still plays a big part in their setup. That’s the impact she had on people from all over.
