The club’s AGM will take place on Sunday 20th January in the clubhouse. This is undoubtedly the most important meeting of the year and we are asking all current and past members, players (past and present), parents of our underage footballers and anyone else with a genuine interest in the club to come along. 2019 promises to be another busy year for the club and we are encouraging everyone to get on board to help make it a successful one.
Our underage training sessions will all be up and running again over the next couple of weeks following the Christmas break. Details of all the sessions will be included in next week’s notes but keep an eye on social media for updates.
Good luck to our underage coach Tara Byrne who is now part of the Armagh Minor Ladies coaching set-up for 2019. Tara has been coaching and mentoring our underage ladies’ teams for a number of years and this is well deserved recognition for her efforts and her involvement at County level is something which can only benefit our club in the long run.
Congratulations to Stephen Mooney from our senior ladies management team and Aine Murphy, our U6 mentor, who tied the knot over the Christmas. We wish all the very best for the future.
Armagh GAA Club Draw
The very successful Armagh GAA Club draw is running again in 2019. The draw takes place over 4 months – March, April, May and June – with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is a Renault Clio, right down to a 16th prize of £200.
Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to the club after we reach our minimum target of sales. They can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.
Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members and the more tickets we sell, the more money the club raises. We are encouraging all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.
It is brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
If you fancy burning off the turkey after Christmas, want to begin the New Year by getting fit or just want to blow away the cobwebs our community walkway is open to everyone and anyone who wish to avail of the facility.
