Our senior ladies maintained their unbeaten league run with a hard-fought four-point win over Mullaghbawn last Monday night. 2 – 9 to 3 – 2.
Mullaghbawn got off the best possible start, scoring their opening goal right from the throw-in but points from Geraldine McNally and Aoibheann Jones got the Shane’s back to within one. A goal from Aoibheann Jones put the Shane’s ahead for the first time and points from the returning Moya Feehan, Geraldine McNally and Aoibheann Jones extended the Shane’s advantage to five points. However, Mullaghbawn fired home their second goal of the contest just before half-time to trail by just two at the break, 1 – 5 to 2 – 0.
An early point from Moya Feehan got the Shane’s off to a good start in the second period with Geraldine McNally following up soon after with her sides second goal of the contest. Sorcha McDonnell tagged on two points in a row for the Shane’s to put them into an eight-point lead but Mullaghbawn hit 1 – 2 without reply to trail by just three. The away side tried their best to get back on level terms but the Shane’s defence held firm and a late Moya Feehan point sealed the win for the Shane’s, 2 – 9 to 3 – 2.
The girls return to action on Monday night at 8.00pm at home to Forkhill. They are also scheduled to play Lisummon on Friday night but this is subject to change.

All-Ireland Féile – Fundraising Events
Well done to everyone involved in this weekend’s fundraising events ahead of the Patrick Rankins trip to the All-Ireland Féile in Sligo at the end of month. The events included a bucket collection in a Camlough on Friday, a car wash at Correnshigo on Saturday, a sponsored walk on Sunday morning followed by a coffee morning in the Shane’s club house. A big word of thanks to all those who helped organise the activities, to all those who took part and to everyone who donated to any of the events. Despite the hard work it was a great weekends craic and that’s what it’s all about.
